DAY THIRTY-SIX: Slurpees, Super Moisturizers, and Supported Sleep

Because we would need to wake up so early for the PSAT, and we would have to walk to the school, we decided that we would stay in a hotel, in Yokohama, the night before the test. So, on Tuesday, we headed to the train station. Before we left, Dad wanted to stop by a 7Eleven, to pull out some money. Instead of waiting outside, we decided to go in with him, and there, before our eyes, was something astonishing… Fanta Melon slurpee! It did not take long for us to convince Dad to give us some of the money that he had just pulled out, so we could each get a slurpee. The slurpee cups were miniscule compared to those in the United States, but we didn’t care. We have become accustomed to the small servings, and probably wouldn’t be able to finish a full sized slurpee in the United States.

The hotel was quite nice. Our hotel room even had a leg massager!

Mom took a picture of the beautiful chandelier in the lobby.

Here is a picture of the view from our room.

For dinner, we went to a Hawaiian restaurant, that mainly served breakfast items, but also had some burger options… it was a strange combination. On our last trip to Japan, we had the best burgers we had ever had. We were hoping to have the same experience. The burgers were definitely delicious, but they were not quite the same.

When we were back to our hotel room, Mom and I tried out a face mask (literally), that (on the same website that advertised the eyeliner I talked about on DAY TWENTY-FOUR) was said to be quite amazing. It is called LuLu Lun. The boys were creeped out.

After we took off the mask, we rinsed our faces. We later learned that it is an extreme moisturizer, and that we are supposed to leave the residue on. The website Mom was reading, even said that some women leave the mask on while on a plane, or other long trip. We later tried it again, and it was quite refreshing. We plan on buying some more before we leave, since buying it on Amazon, costs ten dollars more than buying it here.

The best part about our hotel room, were the beds. I didn’t realize just how much I missed them, until I fell into my bed that night. Sleeping on the floor is nice, but I look forward to sleeping on my bed when we get home 🙂
