Hip, hip hurray to my 2 new fifth graders and my little 1st grader, its going to be a great year together!
We had a great first day, finished by lunch time and the kids were pleased to find I had packed them some lunch pails so we could head to the lake for a picnic! We sat quietly and contently and listened to the sounds. Elias and Hannah stayed for an extra half hour (with a walkie talkie so I could check in on them) and ended up spotting bullfrogs, a belted kingfisher, two different sized wood peckers and many dragonflies- they were thrilled!
