Mom and Dad decided to let the boys go pick him up from the train station, all by themselves. Mom took a picture of what could have been their final moments with us.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15012_resized.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1210\" src=\"http:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15012_resized.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15012_resized.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15012_resized-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15012_resized-750x1000.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Shea and the boys did make it back on their own without getting lost, and we had a great evening catching up on Shea&#8217;s adventures.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday we walked to Uncle Yoshio and Aunt Tamiko&#8217;s house for a &#8220;tea meeting&#8221;, so Shea could tell Yoshio and Tamiko about his travels through Japan. Along the way, we saw this garden, with these adorable topiary bushes. Yard space is limited in Japan, so almost every inch of private ground, is a garden. (This yard actually has the most grass that I have seen so far)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15041_resized.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1206\" src=\"http:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15041_resized.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15041_resized.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15041_resized-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15041_resized-750x1000.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We also saw this ginormous (not a real word) bike parking lot. Many, if not most, people do not own cars in Japan (or at least where we have traveled). I would say there are probably three bikes for every motorized vehicle, and I see more mopeds than full cars. Their cars are also smaller than the cars in the U.S. At first, I thought the cars looked squished \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15061_resized.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1207\" src=\"http:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15061_resized.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15061_resized.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15061_resized-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15061_resized-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_15061_resized-750x563.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When we got to their house, we enjoyed some light snacks while catching up on our recent activities. We have enjoyed our time so much, and have learned a lot about Japanese home culture.
