School has been going well, and we have been able to get familiar with two of the local supermarkets.<\/p>\n<p>We have been enjoying trying out Japanese recipes. On Monday we had fried rice and gyoza (also popular in the U.S.), and on Tuesday we had gyudon, which was delicious.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/justbento.com\/bento-no-11-gyuudon-beef-bowl-bento-konnyaku\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/justbento.com\/bento-no-11-gyuudon-beef-bowl-bento-konnyaku<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We have finished off all the snacks that were left to us when we moved in, and finished with the best for last (not that we knew it was the best, since we cannot read any of the packaging) It tasted like a peanut, popped in puffed corn, and powdered with curry seasoning. Yum!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_1116.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1060 \" src=\"http:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_1116-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"494\" height=\"659\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_1116-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_1116.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.teamhadjes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_1116-750x1000.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 494px) 100vw, 494px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday greeted us with a storm, and I enjoyed listening to the thunder and lightening. Watch this video if you want to listen to three minutes of Japanese rain, with a little bit of thunder at the end (once I started recording, all of the big crashing thunder paused until I was done. To help with this, we signed up for the free trial with Hulu, and we have been enjoying some family (minus Dad, who has to wake up early anyways so he can work during U.S. time) movie nights. Even with these, however, we can barely keep our eyes open past nine \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So friends, we are nearing the end of the second week. Tell us what you are up to!
