Stephanie thank you for asking about the kids. they are doing well. they enjoy playing with Corina (Cobo's daughter, hannahs age) and Josue (David and Patricia's son, elias' age) very much. They've been hitting the parks, kiddy pools, and eating their fill of popscicles. they were sad one day about why we were here (I want to see grandma's house, where are my other toys, why don't we have a car......) but we are reading the old testament with them right now. I was able to remind them of the story of Abraham going on an adventure with God to a new land and how we had talked previously of it being important to listen to God and live in special places and go on special adventures with Him. Anyhow it was a great teaching moment and they both really understood that we (just like Abraham) had a big adventure and we wouldn't go home till we were done doing all the fun things God has planned for us. So now they are excited about what we are going to do each day and who we are going to meet and what adventure might be around the corner :)
it has been quite hot, says all the spaniards, well over 100deg each day but honestly we've all been fine. God has been quite gracious to give us a steady breeze and a patch of shade at all the right moments. no sunburns or heat rashes here :) The kids really did not like walking in the heat so we had to buy a second stroller. We were able to 'rig' it as a double stroller. I'll have to take pics and show everyone. They are quite happy about the new arrangement and we are happy to be able to stroll a bit faster now.

heya Llews! Can't say much about the house hunting as we weren't involved in it. We just showed up and it was all a suprise as to what we would get :) They do like a lot of rich colors, reds and golds. teehee, can't take credit on the meal (I was really cooking spaghetti in the pic) but if you click on it it will take you to a web page with a recipe for paella. I can however make a darn good vegetarian paella and I will gladly treat your crew to some spanish cooking when we return- anything to be able to hang out with you guys!

Laura we have been in contact with Vincente. He's on an island somewhere at the moment but we'll be able to see him in Sept. He's going to send us Maria Jose's email so we can get in touch with her. She's in town but we haven't seen her yet. We'll be sure to relay your love to them both :)

Well Anto and I got a kick out of your tour....a very good one for that matter, nice pics. From someone who has seen the Hadjes here in person, in spain, to everyone in the good old PSCC circle, the hadjes are a great addition to Baza and are doing wonderful here. I look forward to seeing them grow closer and closer with the kids from Baza. Sarah and Eddie you two are a great couple for this town, keep up your positive attitude and don't let the sun burn you out. see ya soon. -Jenae
ps...Don is Chelsea studying in Granada next fall? if so that is very awesome...and hey Laura, haven't heard from you since last summer. Where have you been? Lost in Canada I bet...hehe, I miss you two girls.

What a pretty front door! And a lovely apartment as well. Looks like you are all settled in and comfortable in your new digs. How are the children adjusting? Has it been very hot?

I can tell you how NOT to use a bidet. Don't put your face real close to the bowl while cleaning and just assume that no one has changed the water pressure since you used it last...so that a HUGE fountain of toilet water hits you up the nose. This, of course, has never happened to me.Saturday, July 16, 2005, 11:55 PM
Oh my goodness! What a gorgeous home! AND, what a nice meal you prepared!!! Tell us more about your house hunting! It looks so grand from over here--lots of golds and reds...so beeoootiful! DEBSaturday, July 16, 2005, 02:45 PM
Oh, Team Hadjes, I miss you so much! I love you're new home! You must be so excited! Do say hi to the Cobos for me, and if Daniella, Maria Jose and Vicente are still around give them big hugs from me too! The pictures of your kids are precious, all the pictures are great - they make me very spain sick :-) I pray for you all the time, thanks for keeping the blog updated!
bssss, (kisses)

Pretty nice digs. I am sure enjoying your blog. It gives me an appreciation of where Chelsea was last year. Speaking of Chelsea, she returns from Brazil next week. She will be so glad to see that we have discovered your blog. She'll be getting excited about Granada in January as she follows your adventures.
Blessings,
Don Moore
